e-Citizen is the entry level programme in the ICDL product range. It focuses on equipping people with necessary and basic skills to become an e-Citizen in today’s information society.

The e-Citizen programme is designed to be as simple and straightforward as possible. Candidates will work through a Syllabus Guide which includes tasks that are designed to give some practical experience of the opportunities that the Internet presents. The programme involves some independent study but a tutor will be on hand if help is needed with any section of the programme.

The programme is flexible and easy to follow at one’s own pace, but will take typically 30 hours of training. And there is one 45-minute certification exam at the end of e-Citizen training.
