Computer Skills Language Extensive Training Course Launched by ICDL HK & Macau

International Computer Driving License Co Ltd, under the support from Hong Kong Pui Ching Educational Centre, launched its unique ICDL Foreign Language Courses on June, 23rd, 2008.

The course lasts from June 23rd to August 25th, with an emphasis on language training. During these two months, candidates can choose either English or Mandarin courses. Each language course is split into 20 classes, with all together 40 study hours. The ICDL computer course is for students self-studying, however, ICDL HK & Macau Co Ltd., also provides text books for their reference.

ICDL HK & Macau has invited experienced teachers and language experts from British Council and Beijing Language and Culture University respectively for English and Mandarin courses. Under the structure of 10 difference scenes specially designed, students will be able to use IT and computer related words, grammar, sentences and language expressions in a simulated environment, which will ultimately help enhance their ability to use English and/or Mandarin in daily life and at work.

When the whole course is finished, ICDL Start Certificate will be granted to candidates who past the ICDL start exam. As for the language training, certificates from British Council and Beijing Language and Culture University will be awarded to those whose attendance rate is more than 90%.

As the official licensee to issue ICDL certificate and ICDL Test Centre in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR, ICDL HK & Macau Co Ltd comments the language course combining with ICDL programme as an effective way to help those who are not good at working with computer in a foreign language environment. Students will upgrade their communication skills thus increase their confidence to enhance their job prospects.
